Most of the good apps cost money. You could always jailbreak if you want more free apps.

Jail breaking your iPhone or iPod Touch is switching the firmware to a custom version that allows you to install lots of free apps developed by the community and do other stuff that you can't normally do with Apple-approved firmware. It's really easy and pretty safe.

Here's a list of essential apps, but they might not all work on the iTouch. Definitely jailbreak, though.

In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum.
