The problem

I've KOTOR II with update 1.0b. I have played this game lots and now I have a new computer and I would like to try again. But the problem is when I'm creating new game and character I cannot see characters at all. Not when choosing characters class or when choosing skills, feats etc. I just see the background fog. And when starting game I only see black screen and mouse cursor. I have latest ATI drivers and directx 9.

I seem to remember that there was an issue with newer ATI drivers so you might want to look into that, however I remember having a similar issue with an nVidia card -although I cannot remember how I fixed the issue- so that might not be the case. :p

Re-posting the topic in red doesn't change the fact that Nightshade is correct. ATI hardware does have known issues with this game due to the drivers which can present itself in a manner like you describe. Last I heard, they had corrected it in one of the more recent updates, so I question your statement that you already have the latest drivers. Did you get the drivers from your computer manufacturer or from ATI directly? If they cam from your computer manufacturer, then they are not the latest and you need to get them from ATI directly. If you got them from ATI directly, then you should check for a different version, possibly even an older version, that may work.
