Hi all, I bought KotOR II, installed it, and a message came up that my graphics card wasn't strong enough to play with it, and settings needed to be adjusted before I played. I changed the resolution to medium and I was off. I started up the game, and got to the main menu. I made my character, then the game started up. The text crawl went by, and the movie started playing with the asteroids and stuff, but when (and I think this is it) when I started playing, my screen went black. I could hear things going on in the background, but nothing was showing up on screen. I tried to exit the game, but it wouldn't let me, so I had to do a manual shutdown. I tried about four times, and it was the same thing each time.

Help would be most appreciated, thanks. I really want to play this game.

Could you post more information about your system? For instance, are you using an Intel chipset?

If you do have an Intel GPU that's the problem, or, at least, most likely the problem.

So how would I fix said problem? Would I have to buy a new card? Are there any you would suggest.

Question. KotOR ran on my computer fine when I turned down the brightness. Are the two games that different graphically?

Thanks.

Well, that would depend on the rest of your system and how much you had to spend.

I am not sure why but Kotor II has more problems than Kotor with the Intel chipsets.
