Strange handmaiden bug

Hi.

 

I encountered a very strange problem in handmaiden dialogues. I talked to handmaiden about her mother and about being a jedi and got the message about handmaiden taking her first steps to become a jedi, and imidiately after that comes a scene where Kreia says "Betrayal." and after that the game crashes to main screen. I don't know what to do since reinstalling the game didn't seem to help so any help would be greatly appreciated.

it's supposed to go to a cutscene with Atris and the other Handmaidens at that point

 

i do vaguely remember hearing about people having this problem before, but can't for the life of me remember what the fix was

That was the module loading with the exile, instead of running the cutscene, not a crash like this. Team Gizka had a fix for that, but they no longer have. You could still try it if you find it though.

 

And mods running?

I might still have the fix, if so I'll try to upload it later.

I don't have any mods running so that doesn't seem to be the cause of the problem. I also found the would be fix, but it wasn't of any use so any ideas what might help would still be appreciated.

Have you tried a different save? I know this might take some time, but the original one could be corrupted or otherwise unplayable.
