Aliens setting isn't RTSesque in any way.

 

 

I have to disagree.

 

I believe there is already one RTS that features Aliens, Predators and Marines. (which is one more playable race than we'd be able to have if Obsidz made one)

 

And of course there's been 2 FPS that feature the three.

 

That said, I'm looking for something that hasn't been done before... like an RPG.

Maybe I am not one to comment considering that "good RTS" is almost an oxymoron for me, but Aliens as standard resource-gathering and base-building RTS? I don't think so. Some sort of squad level tactical game might work.

A gameplay that plays similar like Jagged Alliance 2 in a free form grid world would be the best for an Aliens game.

That game is called avp: extinction, and the only good thing this game performs is an excellent, I,d even say the best, description of the praetorian alien in "Beastiary" section till date; furthermore, and thanks to its description in this game, praetorians should fit an aliens game without bringing the predators to the plot.
