Magister Lajciak Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 where do we go to petition a pathfinder pc game??? Well, apart from this particular thread, also here: On Paizo's side: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizo...icProductsCRPGs On Obsidian's side: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=50118
Magister Lajciak Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Just forgot to reiterate that I too would love to see a PC game of Pathfinder.
RangerSG Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I'll add my name to that too. Pathfinder does look like it would make a better CRPG than 4e anyday.
Magister Lajciak Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) In fact, Mr. Sawyer has stated in the past that 4e, despite having taken some cues from video games, would be difficult to translate to a CRPG environment due some mechanics of the game (such as marking) that do not lend themselves to the electronic media. Pathfinder, being much closer to D&D 3.X edition, would avoid most of these issues. Edited July 25, 2008 by Magister Lajciak
Magister Lajciak Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 In fact, it would probably be feasible to create a Pathfinder RPG mod using the NWN2 engine. If I were a modder I would try exactly that, but alas I am not so skilled with computers as to be able to do that.
Magister Lajciak Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 Full author list for the Pathfinder Campaign Setting has now been announced by Paizo. The list is impressive and can be found here: http://paizo.com/paizo/news/v5748eaic9lb5 Paizo Publishing Announces Complete Author List for the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting HardcoverPaizo's first Pathfinder
Magister Lajciak Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 Just thinking some more about a potential Pathfinder CRPG - the ruleset is about to enter Beta, so it is far from finalized - only preliminary work could, therefore, be done on it at this stage.
Magister Lajciak Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Pathfinder RPG Beta has been released. You can download it here for free: http://paizo.com/store/games/roleplayingGa...r/pathfinderRPG Alternatively, it is possible to order a hardcopy of it, which is apparently being distributed at cost.
Magister Lajciak Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 In fact, since Beta is a major new release, I will begin a new thread for it.
