Morrowind Mod Making

I recently installed Morrowind GOTY edition on my PC and I want to make my own maps/mods.

Anyone have any pointers on how to get started?

 

I've tried looking at tutorials but they assume too much.

Would appreciate any advice on this.

No, I didn't go past the tutorials.

 

What I need is something scenario-based.

 

for instance, OK, let's say you want a green field with a half-timber cottage and stream running through the field.

OK, you are sitting at your computer with the editor open, THIS IS WHAT YOU DO....

 

I challenge someone to provide that.
