Crikey. I had no idea so many people here had experienced it. I suppose now's the wrong time t point out that in medieval times the conclusion would be that a demon had been sitting on you?

I think sleep paralysis would scare me more than anything I've experienced. It sounds pretty horrific, especially the first time.

 

I remember reading one of the Kay Scarpetta books in which she describes being in a sensory deprivation tank. That caused a nightmare or two.

 

As for moves/TV, Sapphire and Steel: people trapped in photographs and burned alive by children without faces... :fear:

I get creeped out when swimming in any natural body of water where I can't feel or see the bottom.

I always think that something is about to creep up from the darkness below and grab my ankles.

That is a silly fear. just stay on dry land and you never never never have to worry about it. :D

Silent Hill

WTH??? I thought you loved Resident Evil... Silent Hill is just the equivalent of RE as a survival horror game :confused:

 

Not really.

 

One is more focused on "survival" (Resident Evil) and the other is more focused on "horror" (Silent Hill)

 

Resident Evil, while my favorite series, is more about a few shocks and in your face scares than a truely scary setting.. which is more the ground of Silent Hill.

A large fear for me is that I will not play the game right. It is hard to not make a slip up, and I hope no one calls me on it while I fix the rule break

Another thing that scared me was reading Hard Times, the John Constantine graphic novel. I sincerely can't think of many things more dreadful than going to a US federal penitentiary. Well, excepting maybe another country's penitentiaries.
