So to respond to others who suggested some things,

 

Yes my DVD works fine otherwise, the game disk was in working order as I did exchange it once and got the same result..

 

Apparantly Atari uses some SONY copy protection which is the root problem.. Why in the name of all that is logical they would do something that stupid is well beyond my ability to comprehend. SONY hasn't done right by their game consumers in years..

 

Anyway this wack copy protection is the root cause of my issues.. Atari or Obsidian or BioWare, whom ever has the balls to take responsability for this situation, should set up free download/installs for retail customers with valid KEY's. I should not have to force a return of software, only to pay agian to download it..
