The Political Test Thread

Was mostly talking about the first test results. And I'm pretty certain "welfare" liberals share those beliefs. You know the whole Capitalism is evil club. Test seemed to imply that everyone to the right of Socialism is a "dirty conservative schmuck".

88% should denote Laissez-faire tendencies. To call those conservative in any way is ludicrous and of a Fool's creation. The whole test is really.

To be honest, I'm against liberal\conservative labels on all economic systems. We can easily use Right, Left or Central if we need to. And the systems themselves usually last longer than society's current whims.

I thought the conservative/liberals labels refer more to social issues rather than economic.

normally, yes. actually, in the US, it tends to lump social and economic into one pot. in fact, however, "liberal" in the US means socially liberal but economically socialist (to an extent) and "conservative" means socially conservative and economically capitalist, or economically liberal. it is an odd mix.

the term conservative by itself is not really ever used w.r.t. economics.
