Yep...I already made a 'nearly all stars' lists on the thread of what game do you suggest (or something like that), and I can't remember all of them in a half hour :D

I finally looked at the trailer. It looks good, but I wonder what Dreamfall will me like the most: Tombraider or The Longest Journey?

Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

No tombraider....200% LG :ermm:

Play the game to the end, and just then critizise it!!  <_<

I do not need to eat an entire apple to know it is bad.

"

You can tell by touching it. Is it hard or soft?

I'm going to skip the trailer so not to ruin any surpise. I just beat Longest jounery over winter break. It was an awesome game.

Now I just arrived in Marcuria. It definitely starts growing on me now.... Man, I hope I get back to Stark, this Metro Circle and Cyberpunk look was awesome! And this Monkey-toy-Freddie puzzle was the most hilarious thing ever seen in a video game! :shifty:

I guess Dreamfall is now on my shopping list too... There just ain't so much games around these days that offer so fantastically crafted worlds and characters!

Edit: But those crashes keep coming and coming. I've the 2 CD Version with the latest Patch, is there no way to get rid of these crashes?

Try running it under compatibility mode (Win 98 or something).

I'm dl'ing the trailer but I"m a little apprehensive. TLJ had absolutely beautiful backgrounds and I'm afraid that going fps might make that type of quality difficult to achieve.

I'll chip in with my thoughts after watching the trailer.

Spreading beauty with my katana.

As i said, you play it, and then judge it :)

All of you would like more games if you would give them a real chance :)

Only one warrior (the new male 'hero') is there. I don't think Zoe would fight at all...but April..she changed, maybe she will fight a little too,

but she will work out other possibilities...I think this will be magic, and of course the normal item-combinations as by any adv. game :)

Indeed, firmness is a key criterion, even before the tasting.

I have just tried the demo of "The Longest Journey". Does it really end with the ship sinking or was it some bug? In any case, quite interesting. I might pick it up. Hopefully, the German translation isn't too terrible.

A ship will sink, yes. But thats not the end of the game, its patr of it, and somewhere in the middle of it (thats a demo as you know, just a taste for it)

That Win98 compatibility trick did the job! Never thought of it to try it out, because it never, really never worked in other games.... but this one. Typical.

I just played now 3 hours in on piece without a crash.... awesome! And what was that gruesome scene in the toilet??? I really felt pity for that guy...."I'm sitting on the can! Leave me!!!" :D

Hehe, but it was a hell of fun. Humor of that kind is just too rare in most video games.

Did you make the things 'needed to do' with the guy there? ...if you're stuck don't forget to use a walktrough, lot of them on net

...Good you enjoy it

April can be a bit annoying but its one of my favorite Adventure games. Ill definently have Dreamfall on pre-order

But a question, did anyone actually figure out the rubber ducky, pliers thingie to get the key in the subway station by themselves?! I had to resort to a walkthrough, it was just waay too much "you take the bicycle pump and use it on the sky to get the remote, then you use the cornstalk with the shoe polish on the polarbear statue.." over it

Nah, I'm already past through it.... (now in Chapter 4). It's just that I had to mention it.... I mean, this game is so hilarous at times! You have to love it.... So many memorable characters...

Same goes for that silly "Maps!" guy. Maps! Maps! Maps! >_<

Yes, even minor NPC-s are memorable...this world could be actually a very interesting setting for a pnp game :)

Yea, I figured that it wasn't the end of it (but I sure wouldn't want to have anything to do with Apryl if I lived in that world, LOL). I just wondered if it was supposed to be the end of the demo. I mean, it felt a bit short to me for a demo and I have never played any adventure games before. It is just that I was booted back to the menu after the shipwreck scene and then shortly the whole crashed to the desktop... OTOH, I did get to use all of the items, so it could be it.

Play adventure games, they are like good books, movies, or tales :shifty:

They are very near to the atmosphere from pnp RPG,

even more than actual 'RPG PC/console games' (of course this are only my toughts)

Try to play the games we mentioned earlier in this thread...you'll love them, and you'll be an adventure/RPG fanboy too :(

Glad that worked out ^_^

I checked out part of the trailer and it looks nice. I miss the scenes of April's original city (Venice, was it?) but I'll definitely get this one sooner or later.

Yes, it was Venice, and we wil see it again!

(if you see all the picts and drawings for Dreamfall, you will discover many Venician places)

EDIT:

Remember this one? :-
