Deraldin
Recently I've become obsessed with remembering odd things. The latest is a computer game that I remember playing but can't for the life of me recall the name of it. It was a turn based strategy game that was played on a hex map. It had spaceships. I only remember one level and that was this big circular map that had a planet in the upper left quarter. Each side started out with two ships. One side had two white ships that could each launch a number of smaller fighters that were much faster but easily destroyed. The main ships were moderately armed/armoured. The other side had two burgundy/green ships that were slower, but much more heavily armed and armoured.. You could shoot each other just in general or you could target specific systems on the enemy ship, like the engines or the weapons. As you took more damage you would start to lose more and more systems. Weapons would start to go offline and your engines would lose power and you slow down. Each ship had shields and armour points for front sides and rear. If you were losing you could retreat to the edge of the map and once you exited the encounter are you could escape with FTL drive. I think it may have been a star trek game, but I don't know for sure...
ShadowPaladin V1.0
Sounds a lot like one of the early Star Trek games. Try a gamefaq search. Might help jog your memory. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
213374U
Yes, in fact that might be some kind of early Starfleet Battles PC port. Starfleet Command was pretty much like what you are describing, only in RT. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast. All of the ones that gamefaqs had listed were newer 3D games. The one I'm looking for is a 2D game. I would remember it if I saw it, but so far nothing looks right. If all else fails I should be able to find it this weekend as I'll be visiting my uncle who actually owns the game.
