Kitch Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 (edited) New England suffered a pretty big loss last week. My vote goes to Atlanta since they have a pretty strong rushing game. Edited October 7, 2005 by Kitch
Guest Fishboot Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I'm glad I didn't pick last week, because I would have been down around 30-40%. So, which team is going to get Leinart? I think in Houston he'd be pearls before swine; Carr's good enough, but his team is just horrific, he gets sacked 5+ times a game, there's coach shuffling, etc. I also don't know Carr's contract situation well enough to know if they could trade him at a decent value if they get Leinart (although the cap change at the end of this year might make it doable). Carr would sure as heck be better off then, though. The Packers have Aaron Rogers and I can't imagine they'll get a 1-2 pick, even in this tailspin they're in. The '49ers wouldn't take him. The Bears, Jets, Lions, Raiders, Browns and Cardinals would love him. The Bills have an outside shot at getting a 1-2 pick if their defense keeps getting injured and J.P. Losman continues to suck, I s'pose. Same for the Ravens if their nightmare continues.
Ellester Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 New Orleans at Green Bay: Green Bay, they Life is like a clam. Years of filtering crap then some bastard cracks you open and scrapes you into its damned mouth, end of story. - Steven Erikson
kumquatq3 Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 (edited) 8 for 12 with 2 games left ellester, we're tied! The jags v. Bengals game decides it Edited October 10, 2005 by kumquatq3
LoneWolf16 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Jags up, 10 to 0, 1st quater. Ellester Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I win <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn! The Bengals played a awful first quarter and had to play catch-up. That first quarter was sickening. But, I was still impressed. We had a chance to win it at the end in a hostile environment. Palmer had us in Jacksonville's side of the field and we only needed about 15 yards to get into field goal range. Whoever was that defensive guy who made Palmer fumble the ball won the game for Jacksonville. We were getting real close to tying or going up in that game. Congrats to the Jags. Life is like a clam. kumquatq3 Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Minnesota at Chicago: I can't pick against the Bears...until the sux so much that I want a good draft pick NY Giants at Dallas: I think NY is sloppy off the bye week. Dallas. Cincinnati at Tennessee: Bengals Washington at Kansas City: KC Atlanta at New Orleans: Atlanta Carolina at Detroit: Carolina Jacksonville at Pittsburgh: UPSET! Roth and Maddux hurt? Batch starting? Jags clicking? Jags win. Miami at Tampa Bay: Will Cadillac play or won't he? If he does, I pick TB. If he doesn't, I pick Miami with Williams back. But I can't do that. So TB. Cleveland at Baltimore: Hard to say, but I go Baltimore. San Diego at Oakland: SD New England at Denver: Upset (I think)! Denver NY Jets at Buffalo: Jets. You can't stop Vinny. Houston at Seattle: Seattle. poor Carr St. Louis at Indianapolis: I smell upset. Almost. Indy.
kumquatq3 Posted October 16, 2005 Author Posted October 16, 2005 (edited) Damn it ellester, we're the picks??? I'm currently 9 for 9 and it looks like I'll win at least 2 of the 3 games still going and NOBODY else picked! What a gip 11 for 12 Edited October 17, 2005 by kumquatq3
Guest Fishboot Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 So CBS has been whoring that Romanowski interview on 60 Minutes all day, where he apparently starts crying. Does anyone else suspect that evil bastard thumbed some menthol in his eye or something and faked crying? He's out to hawk his steroid abuse book, and it worked for Canseco, after all.

kumquatq3 Posted October 21, 2005 Author Posted October 21, 2005 Hopefully I won't play myself this week. Tho with my 12 of 13 record, I can't blame you all for running " Kansas City at Miami - Game got moved up to Friday to avoid the hurricane. I go Kansas. New Orleans at St. Louis - St. Louis Green Bay at Minnesota - Someone has to win? Well, tho it's a dome, I go Green Bay Indianapolis at Houston - Hou.....Indy. I really wanted to pick Houston tho. Delta Truth Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Kansas City at Miami - Kansas New Orleans at St. Louis - St. Louis Green Bay at Minnesota - I think Minnesota will put a good effort after struggling i.e. (boat incident) Minnesota should win this by less than a touchdown-Minnesota Indianapolis at Houston - Perhaps Houston can get it together against the best team in the league! Ob second thought no go with Indianapolis Pittsburgh at Cincinnati- Even though Pittsburgh will be a little banged up they should have enough to pull this out( will be close though)-Pittsburgh Detroit at Cleveland-Cleveland San Diego at Philadelphia - Philly ain't looking good I'll go with the Chargers San Francisco at Washington -Washington need I say more (it will be low scoring but the few points will be scored by Washington Dallas at Seattle -Seattle I just think they will stop Dallas in a close one Buffalo at Oakland - Buffalo -plus Moss is injured Tennessee at Arizona - Arizona will battle it out with San Francisco for last with a loss to Tennessee this weekend Baltimore at Chicago - Baltimore Denver at NY Giants - Denver NY Jets at Atlanta - Just can't see Testaverde doing well again this week I pickl Atlanta

kumquatq3 Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 (edited) Me: 7/13 Delta: 7/13 Ellester: 7/13 despite the fact that we suck, tho we all had more than a couple close losses (and wins), the winner is decided tonight If Atlanta wins, you two tie for first If the Jets win, I win next week I say we do a points system (for the remaining year) Edited October 24, 2005 by kumquatq3

Delta Truth Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Well where is all the other football fans <_< (its not like our picks are dominating or anything) There has been many surprise wins over the last couple of weeks okay here's my picks Oakland at Kansas City - KC (go chiefs) Detroit at Minnesota - I will go with Detroit to, Minnesota is going nowhere fast - Detroit wins Tennessee at Cleveland - This is a toss up the last two weeks Tennesses had to lose when I picked them , but I guess Cleveland is ripe for the pickings so Tennessee it is. Atlanta at Miami - Well hmm - Atlanta San Diego at NY Jets- San Diego all the way Carolina at Tampa Bay - Carolina Houston at Jacksonville - Jacksonville Cincinnati at Baltimore - Balimore is lose again - Cincinnati it is NY Giants at San Francisco - Giants are playing pretty good now Seattle at Arizona - Arizona is just bad- Seattle Chicago at New Orleans - THE Bears Pittsburgh at Green Bay - Pitts-burgh in a close one without big Ben Philadelphia at Washington - Washington Indianapolis at New England - New England could but not this week -Indy will remain undefeated
kumquatq3 Posted November 3, 2005 Author Posted November 3, 2005 Chicago at New Orleans - THE Bears DA Bears and I'm not sure why Ellester and Fish don't pick anymore. It's a pretty hockey and soccer centric board. It used to be different
