Musopticon?
Didn't see that coming, eh? I'd buy a gamecube, if I had a tv that is. Not owning one is a bit of a hindrance if one is interested of this genre. No when that is said, recommend something to me. I widen the possibilities a bit, by saying that I have rom capability. I hope I get at least one reply. This isn't exactly the easiest topic. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Baley
I actuallly liked Grandia 2 for the PC... Well Rom wise: SNES JRPGs you can get them here.
EnderAndrew
I like most of the Final Fantasy series, Xenogears, and suprisingly Kingdom Hearts. I haven't played too many JRPG franchises however.
jaguars4ever
The trouble is mus, that the JRPG's on the PC (namely the FF series), have been VERY BAD portings - despite the fact their orignal PS format was excellent.
Musopticon?
Arghh I know, Jags. FF 8 was just horrible. Thank gods I didn't buy it. Thanks for the replies people. I'll try to survive. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. Baley
Bad ports are indeed a big problem. Let's take Grandia 2: Cliche Storyline(but it had its moments),bad controls, tedious battles(at times, tho I did enjoy the combat system). Still it kept me playing for 10 hours straight. Musopticon?
That's why I try to stay with emulators, ports just crush expectations. 10 hours straight? I remember spending roughly the same time with FF 6. What a game. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Baley
It's still one of my longest gaming runs,I used to eat with the characters. Ah,the memories. You might want to try a PSX emulator. All games bought legit,of course.

jaguars4ever
Pfft - 10 hours? Pathetic. Back in the day I played Championship Manager 2 for 18 hours straight - slept for 6 hours - and then played it for another 18 hours.

Like world of warcraft. CRPG generally means computer role playing game. Like Fallout. But sometimes it refers to console style role playing game. metadigital
It's still one of my longest gaming runs,I used to eat with the characters.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eat? You aren't an addict! I have been known to game solidly for about a day, without stopping for food ... When Half-Life 2 came out, I installed it (which took until about noon) and then played it until about 4am, fell into bed with bleeding eyes, woke up at about 7-8am, and finished it at about 11am ... :D Don't get me started on Civ 2 ... I lost months of my life, a couple of days straight at a time (I was younger then ) ... Musopticon?
Sheesh, I remember when HL 2 came out. Our school got several suddenly absent pupils. 30 hours straight. Must have been bliss. Though the guy in question is a zen-buddhist so long periods of mayhem come naturally. Edit: Why do I always make a typo when using shift or writing remeber? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. metadigital
Yeah, I thought it was paced really well. When I replayed it (right through) a few weeks later (not in one session, though), it was a lot harder than I remembered it ... just shows you how the mind adapts to the environment ... You do realise that you spelt remember wrong in that edit right? We had a couple that did that in our school to. I know when people are absent, because of video games and when they are truly sick. They always hype the game just before release and then mysteriously disappear for a day or two. My sick days never fall on game release days. They just all magically happen to appear on fridays though. "
