Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 That too. I just hope it's not scripted entirely. I'm sick of 'warry' rollercoaster rides. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 If we look at "The Shadow of Colossus" and then think PS3's specs....wow <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isnt that on the PS2 or have they changed it to the PS3? I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 It's on PS2, I just painted a mental picture what kind of scenes we could get in the future if PS2 games with right artistic direction and skill can be made to look so impressive. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I really wouldnt mind if they switched it over. Have you seen Okami ? Looks interesting http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=55324 It's like playing inside a painting. Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I have. It's original, to say the least. The paint brush is a cool idea. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Because of touch screen to control the brush, or because of the general quirkiness? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Because of touch screen to control the brush, or because of the general quirkiness? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The brush thing. It seems almost as if its the type of game made for the DS. Quirky does tend to go over better on handhelds than consoles as well, but it wasnt what I was thinking about. Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Ah, that then. Quirky...hmmm. Katamari Damacy was the epitome of quirkiness. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Is that the one where you roll around gathering stuff? I've never played it or seen it for that matter. May not have been released over here. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Yeah, that one. It was a completely random concept. Not weird, but random. I mean, the japanese can be really weird(Excel Saga, anyone?), but I really don't understand where the idea came from. Fly paper? Not to mention the story. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I love the Japanese and their quirkiness. It's the hentai that disturbs me. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Musopticon? Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 ? Edit: Seriously though; hentai is easily avoidable in the net, almost nonexistant anywhere else. It's like dog porn, if you keep looking; sure you'll find some, but if it jumps on your face and says "booooo" then one must question the sites and shops one frequents. I agree though; it's wacky. There's real porn(and women ) out there. I know which one I'd choose. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Musopticon? Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Who's Yuki? Her sister should just go do pin-ups for Mad Cow comics. They need new talents fo Lady D'. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 It started when I wasnt particularly serious and I needed something easy to remember. But she finally wore me down Probably for the best I picked the most awful girls/women to go out with. couldnt be happier without being drugged to the eyeballs and commited so it all worked out for the best. Musopticon? Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 She can't be bad if she married a guy with an anime avatar, 5000 posts, siggy quote from Bard's Tale and goes by the nick ShadowPaladin. JRPGs as well she's the one who introduced me to both (well except for Akira and Legend of Overfiend). accepted as such I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Musopticon? Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Nah, well you could say I tried to reach the line quicker. That doesn't mean however, that I didn't post wholeheartedly. I just love to be myself on boards, while so many others are making their roleplay. Post when I like, with the idiocy, randomness, goodwill and length I like. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. EnderAndrew Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 Post count, meh. I'm somewhat excited about this game.
Musopticon? Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 The indrustial revolution aspect interests me the most. It's nothing new in JRPGs to mix fantasy and scifi/real world, but coupled with the seething cultural changes, enormous population movements and such could prove and interesting backdrop for gaming. On the other hand, maybe I'm reading too much into it and we'll happily trounce through woods and cellars killing rats with "modern" weapons and original spells like fireball. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears.
