I was wondering if anyone, or a developer, would be able to comment on the PC.ign.com site's article regarding the list of 2006 releases. It doesn't include NWN2, quoting CEO Bruce Bonnell on the loss of revenue.

The article can be found here:

There are a lot of NWN fans who are wondering what is going on. Any commentary would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If it says includes then that dosnt actually mean it's a complete list. I would expect a bit more of a fanfaire than a simple listing for NwN. However Ataris been in a bit of upheval recently so there could be more to it, pretty unlikely though.

I have to agree with Volourn.  Bioware is pretty much dead now.  Deals like this kills development studios.

Jason Keeney answered my post here on the bioware forums.

Since this is not bioware forums...

The statements in that article refer to "fiscal years", not calendar years. From the perspective of an Atari executive or accountant it's been 2006 for almost 3 months

For Atari, fiscal year 2006 will end March 31, 2006. So... the months of April, May, and June of 2006 will still be "first half" of calendar 2006, yet be in fiscal 2007.

This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

Bet it was fun watching everyone run around like headless chickens for a while.

Odd expression that since a headless chicken running around is frankly rather disturbing.
