Tigranes Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Noooooooobody knooooooows.... Although TBH is most likely dead. Engine is becoming outdated: by the time anybody passed the bureaucratic hurdles to get it, then finish the game (not that many people like finishing other people's work), it wont be too viable for anybody to throw wads of cash into the endeavour. Come to think of it, Interplay's even mor elikely to be dead. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
EnderAndrew Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Developers don't want to pick up some half-finished game from someone else. Van Buren is dead. Jefferson is dead. In fact, most of the former US Presidents are dead.
Atreides Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Of course it's dead. That's why I asked if anybody picked up the pieces. Spreading beauty with my katana.
EnderAndrew Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Developers want to be able to make their own games. That's why most of the KOTOR:1 characters didn't appear in KOTOR:2. It's hard to write someone else's characters, or finish someone else's work. That's why Bethesda didn't want to look at any old Van Buren work for Fallout 3. They just started with a new slate.
metadigital Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 So you aren't buying the whole Duke Nukem Forever plus one very quick sequel marketing ploy, then? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
metadigital Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Was it as good as they say (hey, if they keep hanging on, they can use the UT2007 engine ...) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
EnderAndrew Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 It was alright, but beating the game took....forever.
metadigital Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 How comes you've finished already, then? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
EnderAndrew Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I waited at the Resteraunt at the End of the Universe, and the saw the ending.
metadigital Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I've heard the Big Bang Brasserie is good. I believe the same esy payment shceme is in operation, except you pay at the meal and they collect when you live. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
