Arrit Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 During in game videos my hard drive access light comes on and the video slows down and skips. Happens every time a video plays. Starts off fine then after a while it will skip and then be fine again. My PC Setup is: MSI 865PE Neo2 Motherboard Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 1Gb P3200 OCZ Ram Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb Maxtor 250Gb SATA Hard drive Maxtor 200Gb SATA Hard drive Pioneer DVD Drive LG DVD Writter Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU Creatve Labs SB Live 5.1 Anybody got any ideas. Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you defragmented your hard drive lately? If you haven't, go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter. Use that program to fix up your hard drives. That should at least help you.

Snow Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Might want to disable anti aliasing/anisotropic filtering, they tend to cause problems with ingame videos for ATI cards.

Arrit Posted April 23, 2005 Author Posted April 23, 2005 Only other thing running is the GUI for my mouse. Tryed without both the Firewall and AV which ALMOST solves the problem. Playing without the AV is fine but I'm not going to leave my Firewall off.
