February 19, 200421 yr As I'm sure most of you are aware, I'm on dialup.... well, tonight it actually rained in San Diego. - we got over a half inch in a matter of hours. This might not seem like much to most people, but here it means we get to turn the water off around the house for a few days. YEAH!!! BUT... and this is where the dialup part comes in. my connection is only at 4.8k tonight. I mean HOW can a dialup be that sloooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww??

I mean HOW can a dialup be that sloooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww?? if that consoles you: my connection was always @ about 3.6 k... it's gotten a little faster now that broadband works (took them guys from cablecom 7 weeks...), at last! February 19, 200421 yr Dial-up is affected by line use and weather conditions far more than other internet access methods, as a result packets have to be resent several times to get through. TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
