Bored Wizard
Even though it was difficult to read your post, I will tell you how i did this. You need to get a lot of influence with Bao-Dur to make him a Jedi. Make him the only one in your party and go around helpiong people and refusing rewards. For example, the weather insturments quest on Dantooine got two things of influence, and helping the sik man on Nar Shadaa got me another. So, i guess you could say it is "a lightside thing" for more information on influence go here :influence guide

dufflover
this is a bit of sider, but what happens if you don't train Handmaiden to be a Jedi or even talk to her at all? I'm just curious to see how Atris reacts to it all cos she's all over the "you became a Jedi", "did you love him" and all that. She put the silent treatment on my character the entire game! But when it came to the end, Atris still gave her the full, 'did you love him?' speech...she just missed out the line about her being a Jedi. So, i guess you could say it is "a lightside thing" Bao Dur is easy enough to turn into Jedi even for a darksider. For example, you get influence with tech things such as the spy device on Dantooine and the airspeeder on Nar Shaddaa. You can even make the thugs on Nar Shaddaa jump over the railing and still get influence (as you saved the man after all). Whats more satisfying is that the recruiting lines are different for a DSer (giving in to anger etc)
11XHooah
I have a question about turning people into Jedi. Do you have to be a Jedi Master class to do it, or can you be any class that you want? Thanks. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. --John Stewart Mill-- "Victory was for those willing to fight and die. Intellectuals could theorize until they sucked their thumbs right off their hands, but in the real world, power still flowed from the barrel of a gun.....you could send in your bleeding-heart do-gooders, you could hold hands and pray and sing hootenanny songs and invoke the great gods CNN and BBC, but the only way to finally open the roads to the big-eyed babies was to show up with more guns." --Black Hawk Down-- MySpace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=44500195

Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you don't have to be Jedi Master (or anything else for that matter). You do need high enough influence. Some characters cannot be turned to Jedi (Hanharr, Mandalore, for example).
AlexRmF
caradoc is right, actualy u only need to 3 influence gains with the members of your party that can become jedi (mira, handmaiden,atton,bao-dur), and u can turn them.
