I just beat Telos, although it did lock my comp up frequently, it was still beat-able.

After beating that, I went to Dantooine, it worked fine until I got to the big field and it crashed. I tried loading it up again but the save file was damaged or something since it'll load 25% of the way then stop loading, music starts playing and the cursor appears, at which point I can either ctrl-alt-delete and one of two things happens.

1) Pick end task, game tabs back and gives me the 'do you wish to exit' options

2) Pick end task, game tabs back and locks entire computer up, forcing me to hard re-boot.

So w/e I load up a save from when I first landed, but now the problem is the crashes happen ANYWHERE on Dantooine, without any rhyme or reason to them, locking my entire PC up each time and damaging the save file. I can't get 20 minutes into Dantooine and have no idea how to get past this problem.

Does anyone here know how to fix this?

Not really..try updating graphics drivers, make sure that until the patch comes out that you are not spending more than 20-30 minutes in one area. The game is known to crash if you spend too long without loading a new area.

I haven't heard of the crashes corrupting save files before, though.

Save frequently. Quick Save (F4 key) is your friend.

But don't just rely on quick saves. Do a full save every so often and keep them separate just in case you need to go back to an older save.
