People,

There is a patch on the Lucasarts website!!

Gto the link: ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/

Therein, you will find a patch for KOTORII version 201420.

No idea what it fixes though.

I have applied it & no probs so far. Has fixed a startup issue though, where the game screen was not always full screen.

what are u talking about, there is no North American patch avaiable

It the patches which fixe the corrupted .pdf manuals. Very usefull...

As has been stated before, this is a patch for the international European version, and it fixes a corrupt manual PDF that shipped with the game. NO game fixes are included.

what joke c'mon obsidian!

*sigh* Taken from http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/KotOR2.htm I quote:

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

The patches below are International Language version updates only.

NOTE: There are no Domestic/North America versions available at this time.

    * UK Version - Click here.

    * French Version - Click here.

    * German Version - Click here.

    * Italian Version - Click here.

    * Spanish Version - Click here.

'UK Version' being of course an English file as you describe, because the CDs that shipped to Europe had a bad PDF on them. No one has been able to verify rumors of spelling corrections being patched into the game files, and I tend to believe that the reports that 'the game works now' are coincidence. I have heard several times that people who couldn't open the game fullscreen now can do so, but that's all.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound upset. it's just that I realize how many people keep seeing this topic and getting hopeful for a solution.

In anyone CAN verify that the patch does indeed make changes to ANY files besides the PDF manual, please PM me.

Well, during install it changes the manual (pdf), the dialog.tlk and the game exe. May also change some other files, but the label on screen was changing quite fast.

Does it leave a .txt file behind in the SWKotor2 directory?

This is not funny, i am checking this forum all days, before i begin playing Kotor, looking for any info of the patch...

Does it leave a .txt file behind in the SWKotor2 directory?
