February 12, 200520 yr As i try and install KOTOR2 I am regularly prompted with CRC errors on disk one, it struggles to validate Models and Sounds.bif against the data.cab file on disk two, it struggles with .bif files <{POST_SNAPBACK}> do you have a different cd drive you can try? or another machine you can just test installing it on? it may help narrow down where the problem is (damaged CD's, faulty drive, or other)
February 12, 200520 yr Its been said several times over at the Lucasarts forums: Try copying disks 2, 3 and 4 to your hard drive. If the transfer works, try installing off disk 1, then the HD for the other disks. I did this for my 4th attempt to install. It was done in 15 to 20 minutes and the game runs (so far) fine.
