DSLuke
maybe you have too few free space in C: usually windows use this drive for virtual memory. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
LoneWolf448706
maybe you have too few free space in C: usually windows use this drive for virtual memory. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tried clearing up space but it didn't work. This is really wierd as the launcher will come up no problem but as soon as I click to launch the game itself it does nothing. I watched the executable in a process viewer and the stupid thing closes itself right after it loads WTF?!?!?!
LoneWolf448706
okay I tried exchanging the game and I still get the same problem my gfx card is a GeForce FX 5600. Anyone have any suggestions?
Slippery Pete
Have this same problem. The only way I can get it to work is to disable the sound in the config menu before starting the game. But palying without sound is frustrating. If anyone has a clue how to get round this (yeah I updated my sound drivers) then please help. Cheers
rahaney
Hi, This seems to be what happens to me - the game just sits as a background service <_< Any solutions yet chaps?
FreddaH
Not exactly the same problem, but would nevertheless want to have it noted. I have read somewhere on this forum about a 1/4 load bug, and that seems to be what's happening to me, only it happens right as I press play after creating a character. Kind of frustrating not being able to load the level after finally getting the game to start (had problems installing and starting earlier - got through them with a lot of patience). As the game stucks, my system crashes and I get a forced restart. Very annoying, and it also seemed to reset certain values regarding my browser for some reason Anyway, would like to see a fix soon. Was actually very surprised to see that there wasn't a patch out yet. Surprised and not a little disappointed. Oh well, can't trust anyone nowadays. I am very worried about NWN2 right now. Perhaps BioWare should make an unexpected visit to Obsidian and check their code? /Fredrik
rahaney
Hi, My game now loads (w00t)! It was due to a SOUND issue with my plantronics headset - the game sits as a background service. Upon changing to my old Creative SB live it loads up. Unfortunately in a window <_< Gonna scout round a bit to see if this prob has been sorted too......
