Why did they teach you this stuff???

Are you talking about the lightsaber forms? My guess would be to add soe more depth to the game...but mostly to combat. The original engine simply made it to where combat was mostly just put in your orders and watch. You could flurry your way through a lot of it. This way you might have to think more whenever you start an engagement.

Yeah, I mean that, but, what I'm saying is, why would they teach you that stuff when they're just going to strip it away???

They hadn't come to that decision, yet. Remember, they've been out of touch with one another for several years.

Just to add a bit more strategy I'd say....I think a lot more couldve been done with them by making the advantages and disadvantages more apparent and actually having a visual representation of the form but it was still a nice change
