Oerwinde Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Learning Maya part.1 : a)Create nice complicated model <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Theres your first problem. Don't make complicated models. Keep them as simple as you can unless they won't do what you want them to do, then you add lines and such. Its so much easier to work with a simple model, and most of the time you can get the same results with a geometry approximated model as you can with a complex model. t3h-v Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 http://boards.polycount.net - register here and post your models, there's lots of professional artists there who can help you get better, and don't give up on it, your next model will definitely be better than your previous one, and so on and so forth, just keep doing it. btw there's plenty of people who got jobs through modding, 70% of employees at Epic got their jobs from mods. Most production artists (modelers, texture artists, animators) tend to be completely or partially self taught. The tools change all the time and you have to catch up on your own, if you can't teach yourself you won't make it.
kotorfan_yadilloh Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 How do you make a mod? what is the software I would need and where can I get it?
