i believe, too, that PCIe probably won't work as well in a mixed bus environment(the e is for express, which is why i used an X earlier). full dedication might be what it needs.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think computer architecture should focus more on having multiple processors on board, dedicated to various tasks. All file-access procedures in code could go to a dedicated processor for handling file-storage devices, and processing that flow of data. We have seperate processors on the video-cards.
