More Candy Weapon Ideas

Featured Replies

So one of the things I'm not enjoying about the magic/candy weapons in the game is that you throw a glob of candy and if anything gets in the way it gets stopped, in regular grounded it didn't matter in grounded 2 however you have your own buggies that take up most of the screen so most of my attacks don't hit a single bug that my buggy is fighting

A way you could solve this is have the projectile go though friendlys but it doesn't really solve another issue where if a enemy blocks a candy glob they don't get any build up and yet if you block a bombardier beetles globs you get sizzle build up same with the other elemental bugs, if you are going do that I ask it to be fair is all, oh and sometimes when I empower the staff to make a bigger glob and make it explode into a AoE if its too high up and I mean a tiny bit too high up it wont explode and make a AoE

Personally what I would like to see is a candy wand, a one handed candy weapon that doesn't shoot projectiles, when you swing the wand a small AoE appears next to where you aim like a magical blast this way you could make it like a swirl appears on the foe you have attacked and it does a lot of little hits, but the swirl doesn't move so if the bug moves out of it they don't take all the damage

And when you empower the weapon and do a heavy attack you could fire a beam the pierces both buggies and bugs sort of like how the minty staff in the previous game functioned but instead of it being a sustained beam it would last for about 3 to 4 seconds and then you would have to charge it up again

And since its a one handed candy weapon you can have a shield in your other hand and finally have a different weapon type that works with shields opening up more possibilities with builds

Either way I hope you enjoyed my ideas and I hope the staff gets some love can't wait for future updates
