During the Forbidden Secrets of the Undisputed Claim when i need to talk to the moon man i can't tell him that i'm here to talk with him and no matter the dialog choices i can't talk to him anymore and my quest is stuck  on asking me to interrogate the moon man.

I loaded a previous save and persuaded Vallow Andrew to give me the recipe instead of stealing it from her.
Now, when I go back to the step where I have to talk to the moon man, I have an additional dialogue option that I didn’t have in the other save where I stole the recipe.
