Hi y’all,

I saw on Reddit that we should post any glitches we find in the Outer Worlds 2 on this obsidian forum. I am playing the game right now and am completing the quest “on the trail of the traitor.“ On the part when you have an option to save hostages (if you choose to), the character must solve a puzzle involving a rolling “orb” (looks like a planet, and more like a ball or marble than an orb). If completed properly, the ball needs to roll down a prebuilt track that empties into a hole in the ground. That hole funnels onto a ball-sized platform. When the ball is on top of the platform, it opens a storage space revealing two items needed to save the hostages. However, in my playthrough right now the marble/ball fell off the track (this being the glitch) about halfway down. So to try and complete the puzzle, I manually (lol) pushed the orb and instead of going into the hole that leads to the platform, it hit and invisible barrier and rolled down the stairs. Now the orb/ball is stuck down there. I cannot push it up the stairs and out, and I cannot push it onto the platform itself. This being the case, I cannot get the items needed to save the hostages. It is sad because my character would not leave hostages behind, but moreover it is a critical part of the main questline that impacts a whole playthrough. It’s not game breaking, but it is pretty annoying.

thanks,
