Best Way to Organize Bag Essentials in Obsidian?

Hey folks,

I’ve been experimenting with using Obsidian for more than just notes, and one idea I’m trying out is managing my bag essentials inside it. For example, I want to keep a simple packing list for my messenger bag (laptop, charger, notebook, water bottle) and maybe a different one for my travel backpack (passport, toiletries, clothes, etc.).

My questions are:

1. Has anyone here set up a bag inventory system in Obsidian?

2. Would you recommend using a simple checklist in Markdown, or something more structured with Dataview for sorting/filtering items?

3. Any tips for making it easy to quickly update before leaving the house (so I don’t forget stuff)?

I’d love to see how others handle this kind of “real-world gear management” in Obsidian.
