In grounded one you could use your tools as weapons, and had the associated mutations to really leverage what you were good at. If you had a base builder, they weren't suddenly useless in combat as the Axes had a class of their own that was USEFUL. 

 

The omni-tool is awful to use, upgrading an alloy tool with yard scraps is hilariously silly, and you cannot use it without sitting somewhere and holding X to grab a resource. Yard Gnomes save you if two resources overlap as your poor tool spazzes out trying to harvest both. 

 

MAKING tools made so much more sense in Grounded, yet for some reason we have to reinvent the wheel? Why? There are PLENTY of bugs and parts to make actual tools with. Please roll back the omni tool as our only tool, because this is ridiculous.
