I play a lot of games and this is the first time it has taken longer than 5 minutes even. I downloaded through Battle.net if that matters. Reinstalled to make sure it wasn't something wrong with my download. Any help appreciated.

I had it take about an hour in other games, something like 15min for Avowed. I guess it just happens.

No, I found out it has to do with Direct X 12. With AMD it seems to work just switching to DX11 but for Intel certain intel processors it's worse; they are having way more issues even if they get in game so a patch needs to be released. Gives a fatal error popup and it is present in a lot of other games too. Known as "LowLevelFatalError - ShaderCodeArchive.cpp" bug apparently.

I've been stuck on the generating shaders for hours. Have tried restarting my game, pc, antivirus off etc. I am also running AMD ryzen 7700. How would I go about running this game in Dx11?

I'm on a ryzen 5 2600 and a Radeon 7600xt and mines been compiling for over 2.6 hours. Anyone have a clue how to fix this so I can play this $60 game that seems broken on launch (at least that's what my research into this topic has led me to believe)?

I'm having the same issue, with a similar set up.

GPU: Rx7700s

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7735HS

There's a loading bar that takes about a minute or two to fill up, and then it just sits there and doesn't do anything else

Has their been any resolutions to this issue?  I'm running into the same thing.  Gamepass installation.

I realized my Ryzen 5 2600 was just barely within minimum specs. PC is currently being upgraded due to a motherboard malfunction. It was the last thing to do on my upgrade list anyways. 😁

FYI, for anyone else experiencing this issue.  I was able to resolve it by updating to the latest AMD Adrenaline drivers.

I installed the 25.2.1 drivers, but it's possible the 24.12.1 drivers would have done the job.  This may not help everyone, but it seems like most on the thread are AMD at least.

This worked for me. Amd 780m integrated graphics on a hand held windows pc!
