Hello,

I think I might try to spare Benweth in this run, as I am running a good guy, and revenge or assassination is a bit too much.

Sure he crashed my ship but, I'd like to try this option for this run.

Do you know what are the eventual benefits of it ?

Furante won't be super happy about it I suppose, but my PC is a former Deadfire slave, so he won't be my choice.

Do you know what Benweth loot ?

I will just get it with console command (yes I know it's very bad).

He's carrying a unique leather armor named Miscreant's Leather which is not bad - but it's not one of the items I put on my party in most runs (at least not for long).

This armor seems to be a must have for my trickster rogue with the -20% recovery time.

Also I wonder if the lucky enchantment that gives 5% chance to ignore attack can trigger a ripost.

It should. Immunity to a melee attack usually is implemented as a 100%-to-miss conversion which can trigger riposte. I didn't test it with the armor though.

But Riposte only triggers on a lowish percentage of misses (20% iirc) and the enchantment only gives a 5% chance. So overall it's 1/5th of 1 out of 20 attacks (or 1%). So I think this feature combo is absolutely negligible.

Ok thanks, but nice it's working.

So I spared Benweth.

The only thing you get for that is a minor reputation gain with dialigues, but you need to pass diplomatic check for that ( 6 or 7)

He then vanish and is replaced by the Aeldys.

Even Furante is happy of this outcome for some reasons...so it does not change much.

You just don't get his unique armor, which is very good, I just used console command to get it.

He does not drop anything else if you kill him other than the armor.
