I saw another post by someone claiming what seemed to be the same issue from 2 years ago, but they didn't provide evidence of the issue. So here is where I'll put my own. I cannot figure out why this is happening at all, or if it should be happening to start with. I sure seems the building system doesn't work how it's intended to.

If you look, every single piece is considered to be supporting every other. No matter where I place them, the issue remains. I don't know if I'm missing something, I tried finding videos explaing the support system, but to no avail.

I'm sorry to see that you've run into this frustrating building bug. I recommend submitting a support ticket, so we can investigate this issue. Once we have your ticket we will work with you one on one to investigate this issue, and hopefully develop a solution.

Please include the following information: 

1. Platform (Xbox Console, PC Game Pass, PC Steam).
2. Multiplayer or Single Player Game (if multiplayer, can you tell us how many players in total in the game, and their platforms if known)
3. Difficulty level
4. Description of issue.
5. Last thing you did in the game before the issue occurred, if applicable.
