What happens with charmed enemies and spark souls?

Could you mass charm enemies to then use priest's Spark the Souls of the righteous for huge damage? And what happens once charm wears off - does the damage start hurting you or continue hurting the enemies?

I'm not 100% sure anymore but if I remember correctly it doesn't work on charmed/dominated enemies.

I'm about to start up the game and can test it to be sure. Till later...

unfortunately, spark the souls of the righteous only works on party members. don't know when that got changed, i feel like i remember being able to used to buff summons. definitely won't work on charmed enemies.
