November 24, 20223 yr Hello I have a problem with the game overheating. Initially, at the first start, the video card overheated very much. Neither lowering the graphics settings, nor the FSR technology in performance mode, did not help. The game still wildly overheated the GPU. On reddit, I was advised to turn off GPU scheduling, and when I started the game it seemed to me that it helped, the temperature of the video card dropped. BUT ... the next day, after an hour of playing, I felt that the laptop was hot as a hot frying pan. After looking at the monitoring of resources, I found that the central processor is loaded at 100 percent, while the video card is at most 7-8 percent :/ I want to clarify that I do not have any problems with fps, the game itself works smoothly and without freezes, on any graphics settings. The problem is only in super wild overheating. Game purchased on Steam Specifications of my laptop: Geforce gtx 1660 ti, Core i5-10300H, 16 GB RAM I really like your game, but it's not possible to play it like that.
November 25, 20223 yr It's most likely that your game has switched to using the graphics integrated into the CPU instead of the discrete 1660
November 29, 20223 yr I recommend trying the following steps, as it seems like the game is using the integrated GPU in your processor. Open the "Nvidia Control Panel." Click "3D Settings" > "Manage 3D Settings." Click the "Program Settings" tab. On the "Global Settings tab," locate and select the "Preferred graphics processor" option. From the list, select "High-performance Nvidia Processor." Click Apply. Hopefully this resolves the issue! If it doesn't, please feel free to submit a support ticket, and we'll look into this issue. Obsidian Support Thanks!

These are two separate tabs under Manage 3D settings. Preferred graphics processor is not an option on either tabs.
