With the new Shroom and Doom update I've been really wanting to build new bases around the map such as a mushroom castle on the island in the flooded zone, however whilst we can now prevent grassblades and weedstems from respawning, clovers and sprigs etc can still respawn inside base structures, which really limits where you can build a base. In my mushroom castle mosquitos constantly spawn on the roof every moring and theyre such a pain to take out every day. My suggestion would simply be to either prevent all flora respawning within 5cm of base pieces or to add a totem/effigy like furniture piece that "scares" off fauna, preventing them from spawning within a certain radius. This wouldnt prevent fauna from entering the radius, just from spawning near it. The totem could require like 10 spider fangs so that its expensive and cant be used as a way to just not engage with wolf spiders. Please anyone let me know what you think and offer any suggestions to how you think this could be improved

I really like the totem idea.  Ant head totem should disrupt ant patterns. Even aphid totem would be nice to keep those little green guys from kamikaze my spike strips. Maybe they will make a citronella candle to place in your base. Find a big one on the picnic table and mine globs for citronella wax
