I guess I’ll probably play the game at least a second time and try helping the other person,  but I cannot decide which should I help?

No answer is possible without spoilers. Let's just say bringing them together is the best option. It's up to you to figure how

I helped Reed, for what it's worth. Then I shot him so I could get his access card and enter his sideroom.
