I want to install Pillars of Eternity 3.07.0.1318 (GOG Edition) on Fedora 34.
At first, the game complains about a missing libGLU.so.1 so I install mesa-libGLU.x86_64.
After that, I get this. (There doesn’t seem to be an error. It just exits.)
$ ./start.sh
Running Pillars of Eternity
Set current directory to /home/****/Games/Pillars of Eternity/game
Found path: /home/****/Games/Pillars of Eternity/game/PillarsOfEternity
Mono path[0] = '/home/****/Games/Pillars of Eternity/game/PillarsOfEternity_Data/Managed'
Mono path[1] = '/home/****/Games/Pillars of Eternity/game/PillarsOfEternity_Data/Mono'
Mono config path = '/home/****/Games/Pillars of Eternity/game/PillarsOfEternity_Data/Mono/etc'

FWIW, the game works perfectly under Arch Linux.
