I have just completed A Clockwork Mock Apple (obtained Marion's passkey and intended to play We of Spacers Choice Employ but even though i have the passkey, the barrier to the lift won't come down. I approach the purple barrier and it just stops me. I have pressed Enter, e, E and other keys but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

I tried youtube but only video shows player approaching barrier then it fades and barrier is down and player is at door of Human Enquiry and Auditing. 

How do I get barrier to drop? Please help. 

I'm not 100% sure if this is a glitch or if I am missing something tbh
