Mod to remove backer NPC's?

I find the backer npc's very intrusive and have been looking for a mod that removes them.

It looks like the IE Mod can disable the ability to talk to them, and there is an add-on mod for IE that replaces their names with their race (ie. "Human" instead of "Bob the Backer") which are both steps in the right direction but the yellow nameplates, combined with the fact that the overwhelming majority of them are Godlike, are really what bothers me most about them.
