Do you need Refreshing Defense if you have the Salvation of Time/Ancestor's Memory combo?

Just wondering if this or any similar skill that merely extends buff duration is needed if you have the SoT/AT combo.

Not really. SoT + Anc. Mem. will prolong everything. I can see situations where your fighter might want to get out of SoT range to hunt some casters or gunners/archers - then Refreshing Defense might be useful. If you don't do that then I wouldn't spend the point on Refreshing Defense.
