Inventory item dismantle instead of trashing

I was wondering if it would be possible to have a dismantling feature with unused or unwanted items in your inventory where you can keep parts of the items for supplies instead of trashing them all together?

Yes Please!!  I've been wanting this myself.  especially for the Burg.l missions to craft an item,  I have 3 of them already, let me dismantle them after crafting like we can everything else.

That would definitely be nice, but I think the point of trashing something is kinda like a consequence so you don't go making a whole bunch of extra stuff you don't need. I see what you're saying though.

say what?  what about the burg.l missions to make say a ladybug helmet?  i have 3 already, one at each main base, yet i have to make a 4th for the mission.  I'd rather be able to make it and then recycle it.  not that we can use ladybugs for anything else yet, but we should be able to recycle tools/weapons/armor like we do everything else.
