Care to explain a little more please?  I'm dying to get my first ant egg.

Go and kill a bunch of ants in world and in the ant hill. Wait 3-4 in-game days and go back in to the ant hill. Make sure to be wearing ant armor as they won't attack you until you pick up an egg.

Ya, I found 1 feather in about 2 hrs.. There doesn't seem to be any 1 spot where they are...

So did I.  I found mine in the desert area by the stink bugs next to the stacked rock just north of the rake. 

Where did you find yours?
