So why can't we play outerworlds in 3rd person..

 

 

That's just lazy and ****ing stupid 

Devs are aware of the demand for 3rd person view, as well as modding support  and other popular requests. However, with Outer Worlds being first game in the series and a game built on a modest budget some compromises had to be made. Apparenty, doing 3rd person view would take a significant amount of resources and OW was made with First Person View only.
