baldurs_gate_2 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) Especially the belt. Because, when you dump res, you will receive crits a lot and are easily interrupted (because of lack of concentration i guess). So, how good is the girdle of mortal protection compared to the cannoneer belt or others? Does it really make a big difference? Edited April 26, 2020 by baldurs_gate_2
mr_raider Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Spike damage is the big killer on PotD especially at low levels. In a party you can mitigate with deflection buffs and healing. I'm not a fan of dumping con or resolve below 8.
Boeroer Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 The Girdle of Mortal Protection is good against very high dmg crits (dragon wingslams for example) but against lower dmg crits a blunting belt is better (if it matches the dmg type). Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
mr_raider Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 You need to balance against belts that give bonuses to status effects. Being prone, paralyzed or stunned will make you more susceptible to crits
Boeroer Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Just keep in mind that unlike Deadfire, item effects in PoE don't stack unless it's an effect on a weapon. Ilfan Byrngar's Solace will stack with Bliadh Golan, but Belt of the Stelgaer does not. Looped Rope would be a viable addition to Blaidh Golan. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
baldurs_gate_2 Posted April 27, 2020 Author Posted April 27, 2020 I keep that in mind. My question is, which defense stat does stun // paralyze // petrify // prone target? Stun // Prone is Fortitude i believe and Paralyze // Petrify reflex?
mr_raider Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 It's not that simple. It depends what the ability being used is. For example a ciphers mental binding targets will. Ninagauths shadow flame targets fort. Both paralyze.
Boeroer Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 There is no general rule. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

For the sirens it is easy to just use a lvl 5 scroll, but at the llengrath fight i don't want to waste a slot for this.
