The old BISIMGs were funny and useful, I hope they are resurrected for Obsidian on these boards.

what are BISIMG????

They were stock pictures you'd put up in certain situations, like there was a picture of a roman forum for the 'Wrong Forum' image and a troll one for the err.. trolls. This was all on the old BIS forums before Interplay swallowed them up and then died.

They just added a bit of personality to the boards I guess.

whatever u say...

Remember how ppl spammed them and they almost got removed in the first

place ?

Maybe Fergie doesn't want another IWD2 forum "crisis" happen again.

I agree that the pictures (funeral image, anyone?) added quite a bit to a topic, but I also see the current design of these forums, and it screams "low bandwidth". I guess Obsidian both looks to reduce the load time for people on 56K modems and reduce their costs as related to bandwidth.

Oh yes, and then there are leeching scum who would use the bandwidth here to present (steal) the images for their own forums. Without the graphics, Obsidian doesn't need to police that issue.
