While watching a stream of the game someone in chat said there was a bug that would "soft lock" the game if you used a skill like persuade or medical in a NPC conversation.  Is this true? I have not heard of this and going back ten pages on the forum and a search didn't get any results.  I am pretty deep in the game on multiple builds and not had anything like this occur.  Also no idea what they meant by soft locking the game.

A soft lock means you can't advance the game, but you're still able to play it, move around, do other things, etc. I can imagine there could be a bug where you blocked off progress by choosing certain options, I think the bug on Monarch is something along those lines. But it's not just any speech check. Most of them definitely do work.
