Are the planets of the main story the only ones you can explore?

I am at the last mission in the final decision to enter the maze and wondered if the other planets not present in the main story could be explored

    No, you can't explore them. They have no city, atmosphere and humans can't live on them. We could hope for DLC / expansion using them, but since Obisidian didn't say anything about it, not sure it's gonna happen.

    On the map, there's like two or three that are listed but can't seem to be accessed.  I'm hoping DLC will allow us to travel to them.  A couple, based on description, sound like they should be safe for humans to land on.
